How to Find a Better Job in 2027
Build a Job Search Strategy That Actually Works

FREE WEBINAR
Date: Wednesday 6 January 2027
Time: 12.00pm (UK time)
Length: 45 minutes
Online: Microsoft Teams
If finding a new job is high on your list for 2027, it can be tempting to start by opening a job board, updating your CV and applying for anything that looks vaguely promising.
But a successful job search needs more than applications.
Without a clear strategy, it’s easy to spend hours scrolling through vacancies, send application after application, and start wondering whether you’re doing something wrong when you don’t get the results you hoped for.
In this free live webinar, we’ll show you how to approach your job search more strategically – so you can focus your time and energy on the things most likely to help you find a job that’s right for you.
You’ll learn how to:
- Get clear about what you’re actually looking for before you start applying
- Identify the best ways to find suitable opportunities
- Look beyond the same job boards everyone else is using
- Make stronger, more targeted applications
- Build a job search routine you can realistically keep going
- Work out what to change when your job search isn’t getting results
Is this webinar for you?
This webinar could help if:
- You want to find a new job in 2027 but you’re not sure where to start
- You’ve been applying for jobs but aren’t getting the response you expected
- You spend hours looking through job boards without finding much that feels right
- Your job search feels a bit random rather than planned
- You’re relying almost entirely on advertised vacancies
- You know you need to find another job, but keep putting off getting started
- You’d like a more organised and manageable approach to your job search
What we’ll cover
1. What are you actually looking for?
A good job search starts before you type anything into a search box.
We’ll look at how to define what you’re looking for – including the type of work, organisation and working conditions that matter to you – so that you can focus your search rather than trying to apply for everything.
2. Where should you look for opportunities?
Job boards can be useful, but they’re only one part of the job market.
We’ll explore different ways of finding opportunities, including advertised jobs, recruitment agencies, organisations you want to work for, networking and the hidden job market.
The aim isn’t to give you more places to search. It’s to help you decide where your time is best spent.
3. How can you make your applications more effective?
Sending more applications doesn’t necessarily mean getting more interviews.
We’ll look at why targeted applications are usually more useful than a scattergun approach, and how to make it easier for an employer to see the connection between what they need and what you can offer.
4. How do you turn job searching into a strategy?
Finally, we’ll bring everything together into a practical job search plan.
We’ll look at what activities to prioritise, how to structure your time, what to keep track of and how to review what’s working – so that job searching becomes a process you can manage rather than something that takes over your life.
Start 2027 with a plan
Finding another job can feel daunting, particularly when you don’t know how long the process will take.
Having a strategy won’t make every application successful. And unfortunately, it won’t stop employers occasionally disappearing into the void.
But it can help you spend less time doing things that aren’t working, make better decisions about where to focus your effort, and approach your job search with much more direction.

Job Search Strategies for Career Changers participant
Very engaging and knowledgeable presenter. Also good that someone was monitoring the chat box, replying as necessary to those questions and then highlighting a question or two that the presenter could answer for other people to see.
